  • The Assistant Buyer maintains accurate vendor information including contact and product information. Obtains necessary information from vendors in regards to new vendors and/or products.
  • The Buying department serves as the go between for showroom Sales Consultants and vendor factories. The Assistant Buyer supports both ends by reviewing and monitoring custom order reports and fielding questions from sales staff.
  • The Assistant Buyer works with the Marketing department regarding product announcements, pricing, and coordinating product photoshoots.
  • The Assistant Buyer must occasionally travel to showrooms, markets, and factory locations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Education and Experience: Four year related degree or three years of experience in merchandising or sales preferred.

Physical Demands: Low physical demands required. The employee is regularly required to sit for sustained periods of time and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Other: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
