Self-starter that is highly motivated and assertive to proactively search for and contact potential tenants, with the ability to sell and generate new business
Ability to problem-solve and recommend creative solutions
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Strong time management and multi-tasking skills to deal with constantly shifting priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced working environment
Understanding property accounting, tax basis financials, budgeting, and forecasting
Existing relationships with leasing brokerage community in primary markets are a plus
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Mail
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leasing: Initiate contact with prospective tenants for commercial vacancies and manage lease renewals with existing tenants. Coordinate and conduct showings with potential tenants, compose and submit lease agreement proposals. Assist in preparation of legal documents associated with new and existing leases.
Property Tax Management: Work with city accessors to review current taxes and make recommendations to adjust based on competitive landscape.
Client Management Services: Maintain and develop internal and external customer relationships through effective written and verbal communication skills, responding to requests in a timely and professional manner.
Property Acquisition: Have a good knowledge of the real estate market and conduct site research. Must be comfortable attending industry programs and events to learn about open properties and to network with industry professionals.
Government Planning: Build relationships with the city staff where existing properties are located to learn about potential open vacancies.
Education and/or Experience
Prefer 5 years of commercial real estate leasing experience with multiple retail tenants.
Minnesota Real Estate license
Valid driver's license with reliable vehicle and safe DMV driving record
