Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Drives truck to deliver furniture to customer's home or place of business and install as needed. Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt. Writes customer order and instructions if needed. Records delivery information on daily or delivery record. Creates a positive company image by wearing uniform appropriately while grooming regularly. Listens to and resolves service complaints. Loads truck if needed and assumes responsibility for inventory on the truck. Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery. Cleans inside of truck. Inspects product and does any needed touch up. Time orientated & efficient in work ethics. Deal appropriately with all customer issues and concerns. Maintains DOT certification. Trains and assists in Company procedures so assistant can be a driver. Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participates in departmental stretching program, and overall maintains a safe working environment. Other miscellaneous duties assigned by Service Coordinator or Delivery Manager.
Education and/or Experience
Must have or be working towards a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and one to three years related experience and/or training.
Require skills to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Possess skills to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Demonstrate the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Mathematical aptitude to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.
Must be able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
