If either of those activities interests you, along with some clerical work,  then the position of Customer Pick-up Rep is for you!  This position provides customer service and office clerical assistance by performing the following duties:

Qualifications

This individual must be at least 16 years of age. Basic knowledge of a computer is necessary in order to punch in and out, check company email, and look up basic inventory information.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The position of the CPU Rep provides customer service office clerical assistance by performing the following duties:

  • Serves the customer over the phone and in person.
  • Writes, types, or enters information into computer.
  • Sorts and files records and folds paperwork for pick-ups.
  • Receives money from customers and prepares drawer for deposit at the end of the night.
  • Answers telephone and conveys messages.
  • Answers customer questions face to face as well as on the phone.
  • Uses AS400 system to perform job by looking up or providing information to customers or employees.
  • Assists with various tasks as directed by leads, supervisors, or managers.
  • Keeps "pick-up" lobby straightened, organized, and professional looking.
  • Keeps cookies and coffee filled.
  • Brings paperwork out to Pick-up techs and keeps them informed regarding customers.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
  • Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors, participates in departmental stretching program, and overall maintains a safe working environment.
Education and/or Experience

The candidate must have high school diploma or be working towards general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training.

Language Skills

To be successful at this position, one must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Candidate should also be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Candidate must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers while effectively demonstrating the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.

Mathematical Skills

Individual must have the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. One must also have the aptitude to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Stooping by bending downward and forward by bending at the waist, kneeling or bending at the knees to come to a rest on knee or knees, crouching by bending the body downward and forward, or crawling by moving about on hands or hands and feet. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.

Reasoning Ability

Candidate must have the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. One must also be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
