Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam and drug screen
  • Must maintain a well-groomed personal appearance, including no visible tattoos, no more than one stud piercing per ear, and natural color hair


  • Repair furniture and inventory in the warehouse and in customers’ homes
  • Drive a company vehicle to customers homes
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by handling repairs in an efficient, professional, and courteous manner
  • Ensure supplies, parts, and required documentation is handled effectively
  • Provide detailed information, including digital pictures, serial numbers, and descriptions to the service department for parts ordering, vendor charge backs, reschedules, not at homes, and service times
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Operations or Showroom manager
  • Adheres to safe lifting techniques, follows proper training for learned job hazards and ergonomic risk factors
  • Participates in departmental stretching program
  • Overall maintains a safe working environment
Education and/or Experience

Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED), and one to two years related experience and/or training. A two year degree related to woodworking is preferred.

Language Skills

Fluent in the English language, in both verbal and written formats. This position requires skills to read and interpret documents such as instructions, correspondence, memos, safety rules, and procedure manuals. Candidates must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and possess the skills to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of our organization.

Mathematical Skills

Mathematical aptitude to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data or figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, visual inspection involving small defects, and using measurement devices.

Reasoning Ability

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
