The position of the Gabbert’s Concierge provides our guests with a positive first impression of the customer experience within Gabberts. This position requires the ability to multi-task including greeting and hosting customers and answering incoming telephone calls. This position is responsible for being knowledgeable of what is happening in the showroom and individual departments to accurately direct internal and external requests. This position acts as a resource for answering basic questions on customer orders, customer accounts, returns, inventory, delivery scheduling, and our overall service capabilities. This position requires professional business attire in accordance with the Gabberts Dress Code.

Greets and hosts customers as they enter the store and practices accurate qualifying procedures ensuring clients are directed to the proper person or department..
Answers incoming calls from a multiple line phone system and directs them to the appropriate individual or department for assistance.
Stays knowledgeable of all department functions. Acts as general resource for inside and outside services - i.e., answer basic questions on customer orders, customer accounts, returns, inventory, financing program questions, delivery scheduling, product services, fabric protection, interior design assistance, directions to store, etc.
Assists clients in taking payments and scheduling deliveries.
Retains knowledge of all emergency procedures, initiating them at a moments notice.
Acts as security at entrances to monitor loss prevention.
To acquire this position, candidate must be personable and willing to learn and has some customer service experience and/or training.
This position requires skills to read and interpret procedure manuals. Candidate needs to be able to speak competently before groups of customers or employees while demonstrating the ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in written format.
Candidate must possess the mathematical aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.
